WATERLOO, Iowa—It's Waterloo vs. Waterloo, Team Gable vs. Team Miller during a special youth wrestling dual to continue the greatest wrestling tradition in the United States.
The meet will take place at Waterloo East High School on Thursday, November 8 at 6 p.m. following a free youth clinic at 5 p.m.
Admission to the youth clinic and to the dual is free. All are welcome to attend. No registration needed for youth clinic.
Dan Gable, a Waterloo West graduate, coached the University of Iowa to 15 NCAA wrestling championships.
Jim Miller, a Waterloo East graduate, coached Wartburg to 10 NCAA wrestling championships.
Each will lead a team of young wrestlers (K-8) from Waterloo as these two legendary coaches face off in a battle for local wrestling supremacy.
Waterloo East and Waterloo West have combined for 24 state traditional state team titles.
The dual features 20 folkstyle matches in a 1-1-1 format. Wrestlers are pre-selected and assigned to a team.

Hall of Fame official Mike Allen will referee the meet.
