MMA fighter Deron Winn announced he is making a return to wrestling. Winn was a two-time NJCAA national champion for Meramec and went onto pursue freestyle wrestling, which turned out to be successful for him as Winn won several international medals, including a bronze from the 2015 Pan American Championships.
After the 2016 Bill Farrell International, Winn decided to dedicate his time to becoming an MMA fighter, also another successful pursuit. Winn is undefeated, holding a 3-0 record all from knock outs.
Winn plans to be back on the wrestling mat to compete at the 2018 U.S. Open in Las Vegas on April 26-28.
