Talented Greco-Roman lineup set to compete in Denmark, at Thor Masters Feb. 23-24.

A team of 15 Greco-Roman wrestlers from the U.S. will make their way to the 16th annual 2018 Thor Masters Tournament to be held in Nykøbing Falster, Denmark on Feb. 23-24.


Past U.S. Olympians Ben Provisor (State College, Pa. /Nittany Lion WC), Jesse Thielke (Beresford, S.D. / Legends of Gold) and Robby Smith (Colorado Springs, Colo. /New York AC) will lead the Americans into competition.


Smith, a four-time U.S. World Team member and 2017 Thor Masters heavyweight champion is looking to capture gold again at this year’s tournament.


Provisor will be representing the U.S. at 87 kg/191 lbs. He is a 2017 World Team member, 2017 Pan American champion, and two-time Olympian in 2012 and 2016.


U.S. World Team member and three-time Pan American champion Patrick Smith will wrestle at 72 kg/158 lbs. Also wrestling at 72 kg/158 lbs. is U.S. Olympic Trials champion RaVaughn Perkins (Colorado Springs, Colo. /New York AC).


2017 Greco-Roman World Team member and 2014 Cadet freestyle World champion Mason Manville (State College, Pa. /Nittany Lion WC) will represent the U.S. at 77 kg/169 lbs.

Wrestling at 55 kg/121 lbs. is two-time Junior World Team member and 2017 U23 World Team member Randon Miranda (Palmdale, Calif. / New York AC).


2017 U23 World Team member and 2016 UWW University Nationals champion Jesse Porter (Albany, N.Y. / New York Athletic Club) will compete at 77 kg/169 lbs.

U.S. Open runner-up Anthonie Linares (San Jose, Calif. / New York AC) will wrestle at 72 kg/158 lbs.


Other U.S. wrestlers entered include Michael Rogers (Spring Mills, Pa. / U.S. Olympic Training Center) at 97 kg/213 lbs., Alec Ortiz (Grand Ronde, Ore. / Minnesota Storm) at 77 kg/169 lbs., Cody Pack (Beresford, S.D. / Legends of Gold) at 72 kg/158 lbs., Aaron Kliamovich (Sweet Valley, PA. / North Michigan University Training Center) at 67 kg/147 lbs., Travis Rice (Washington, Ill./ Norther Michigan University Training Center) at 67 kg/147 lbs. and Jessy Williams (Windsor, N.Y/ New York AC) at 67 kg/147 lbs.


The Thor Masters Tournament is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. local time which translates to 11 a.m. (ET) for those wishing to follow along in the United States. Finals are scheduled for 4:30 p.m. (Local Time)/10:30 a.m. (ET).
