Team USA vs. Sweden Greco dual set for Wednesday night as part of NMU Superior International Camp

MARQUETTE, Mich. – The Greco-Roman wrestling program at the Northern Michigan University Olympic Training Site is holding its fourth-annual Superior International Wrestling Camp this week. The camp is highlighted by a dual against Sweden’s Team Skane on Wednesday at 7 p.m. ET in the Superior Dome on NMU’s campus.
The U.S. team will consist of American camp participants and NMU-OTS athletes. Among them are 2016 Junior World bronze medalist and 2017 Junior World team member Taylor LaMont and two-time Junior World Team member Randon Miranda. Both are expected to wrestle two matches in the dual.
The event is free and open to the public.
This year’s camp includes approximately 80 athletes from across the United States, including wrestlers from the NMU-OTS team. The camp’s roster will also include a Swedish delegation of 13 participants, as well as one athlete from Canada and one from Finland.
The training camp will consist of four days of practice and two days of competition, giving every wrestler an opportunity to wrestle multiple matches.
