U.S. wins 10 medals including seven golds in Greco-Roman at Pan American Schoolboy Championships in Chile

SANTIAGO, Chile - The U.S. was dominant in Greco-Roman on the first day of the Pan American Schoolboy Championships on Thursday, winning seven gold medals and three silver medals in the 10 weight classes contested.
The US team took first place by a wide margin with 87 points, ahead of second place Chile with 53 points and third place Peru with 42 points.
Champions were Kolby Warren of Missouri at 32 kg, Dylan Gilcher of Michigan at 35 kg, Gabriel Taboa of Idaho at 42 kg, Ryder Rogotzke of Minnesota at 47 kg, Robert Perez of California at 66 kg, Quentin Saunders of Kansas at 73 kg and Noah Pettigrew of Georgia at 85 kg.
Claiming silver medals were Christopher Martino of Idaho at 38 kg, Vance VomBaur of Colorado at 53 kg and Kage Lenger of Missouri at 59 kg
The U.S. Schoolboy team consisted of 10 boys from eight different states. These same athletes will compete in freestyle on Saturday.
The Outstanding Wrestler was Brazilian Guilherme Barrow at 59kg.

Competition will continue tomorrow with Schoolgirl freestyle and then will finish on Saturday with Schoolboy Freestyle.
