FLASH: Medbery wins silver, Winn and Rey win bronzes at Outstanding Ukrainian Memorial

KIEV, Ukraine – The USA won three medals in freestyle wrestling on the final day of the Outstanding Ukrainian Memorial International on Sunday.
Claiming a silver medal for Team USA was Connor Medbery (Loveland, Colo./Titan Mercury WC/Wisconsin RTC) at 125 kg/275 lbs.
Winning bronze medals were Deron Winn, Ames, Iowa (Titan Mercury WC) at 86 kg/189 lbs. and Zach Rey, Bethlehem, Pa. (Lehigh Valley AC) 125 kg/275 lbs.
Medbery and Rey lost to the same wrestler, eventual champion and past World silver medalist Alen Zaseiev of Ukraine.
The USA won six medals during the two-day event. On Saturday, claiming silver medals for Team USA were Logan Stieber (Columbus, Ohio/Titan Mercury WC/Ohio RTC) at 65 kg/143 lbs. and Adam Hall (Raleigh, N.C./Titan Mercury WC) at 74 kg/163 lbs., and getting a bronze medal was Reece Humphrey (Columbus, Ohio/New York AC/Ohio RTC) at 65 kg/143 lbs.
