Morrow wins gold, NMU-OTS takes seven Greco medals at Eduardo Campbell Cup in Panama

The NMU-OTS Greco-Roman team from the United States poses together after a seven-medal performance at the Eduardo Campbell Cup in Panama.
SANTIAGO DE VERGUAS, Panama – A team of Greco-Roman wrestlers from the Northern Michigan University Olympic Training Site (NMU-OTS) claimed seven medals at the Eduardo Campbell Cup on Saturday.
Winning a gold medal for the USA was sophomore Austin Morrow of Wenatchee, Wash. at 66 kg/145.5 lbs. Morrow won five matches, with two pins, two technical falls and a forfeit. In the finals, he stopped Moises Soto of Colon Panama by technical fall, 8-0.
Silver medals went to junior Chris Gonzalez of Sauk Village, Ill. at 75 kg/165 lbs., freshman Brandon Marshall of Keystone Heights, Fla. at 85 kg/187 lbs. and West Cathcart of Genesco, Ill. at 98 kg/215 lbs.
Gonzales had a 2-1 record, while Marshall and Cathcart finished with 3-1 records.
Bronze medals went to 2015 Junior World Team member and freshman Dalton Roberts of Fowlerville, Mich. at 59 kg/130 lbs.. freshman Taylor Doan of Wyoming, Del., bronze medal at 75 kg/165 lbs. and freshman Vinny Torres of Bay Shore, N.Y at 75 kg/165 lbs. -
The NMU-OTS team was coached by Jeffrey Roberts of Fowlerville, Mich.
In a close team race, the NMU-OTS team placed third in the team standings with 45 points, behind club teams from Verguas, Panama with 48 points and Colon, Panama with 46 points. Only one athlete per weight class scored team points, and the NMU-OTS team did not enter at 130 kg/286 lbs. The tournament featured only the six Olympic weight classes.
