Wisconsin Wrestling Network website launches to further promote sport in the state

A new website serving the Wisconsin wrestling community was launched this week, the Wisconsin Wrestling Network.

Coverage will include the University of Wisconsin Badgers program, the Wisconsin Regional Training Center, the Badger Wrestling Club, and other major topics of interest to the wrestling community in the state. It will also provide a variety of other news and feature items.

About the Wisconsin Wrestling Network
The Wisconsin Wrestling Network has been designed for just that-to network the Wisconsin Wrestling Community. The platforms we are using are Twitter, Facebook and a web presence. The home base for this effort is the wisconsinwrestlingnetwork.com website.
Former NCAA Champion and Oak Creek HIGH SCHOOL athlete Pat Christenson is the force behind this effort. Pat has been a leader in entertainment promotion in Las Vegas through Las Vegas Events, where they have successfully used social media in promotion and outreach. His knowledge of this process is behind our social media outreach.
The plan is to provide a vehicle to promote wrestling across the state and to give people a place to communicate and interact. The Badger Wrestling Program will be the featured content and we will be providing along with helping with the other college programs in Wisconsin. This will also be a platform to help athletes, coaches and parents with advice and video on topics ranging from technique, nutrition, strength and conditioning and relationships.
We will also be counting on the participants with facebook and twitter to help us keep everyone informed and entertained. If there is something that you would like to see us cover or if you have a question of us please e-mail at info@wisconsinwrestlingnetwork.com.
One thing we would like to cover but will not be allowed is the results and ranking of High School athletes. With the involvement of the Badger Coaching staff in this effort the NCAA rules do not allow the coverage of perspective student athletes (PSA). A PSA is basically considered anyone in High School. The exception are Seniors that have been officially announced by the UW Athletic Department as attending the institution the coming year.
