COLUMBUS, Ohio – The national championship-winning Ohio State wrestling team will be honored with a public celebration on Saturday, March 28 inside St. John Arena. Doors will open at 10 a.m. and the event will begin at 11 a.m. Parking is $5 and available in lots and garages surrounding St. John Arena.
The event will include:

Led by four-time national champion Logan Stieber, the Buckeyes won their first team title in the 94-history of their program. Stieber, who became just the fourth wrestler and first in Big Ten history to win four national titles, finished with a 119-3 career record (29-0 this year) and was named the National Wrestling Coaches Association Most Outstanding Wrestler.
Redshirt freshman Nathan Tomasello (33-4) ended his season by winning 19 straight matches, including five at the NCAA Championship to take the title at 125 pounds. On his way to the championship, he defeated the No. 1 seed, previously unbeaten Alan Waters of Missouri, in the semifinals and West Virginia’s Zeke Moisey in the finals.
In addition to winning a national championship, the Buckeyes also ended a 64-year Big Ten title drought, led by four conference finalists – Stieber, Tomasello, Bo Jordan (165 lbs.) and Kyle Snyder (197 lbs.).
Ninth-year head coach Tom Ryan, who had previously guided the Buckeyes to runner-up finishes in 2008 and 2009, earned Big Ten Coach of the Year and NWCA National Coach of the Year honors in 2015.
