Rudis to promote “Dave Schultz: A Way of Life” t-shirt

Columbus, OH. October 15th, 2015 — Rudis, a recently launched athletic apparel brand that is uniquely marketed to the national wrestling community, has partnered with the family of Dave Schultz to market the official “Dave Schultz: A Way Of Life” T-shirt.
Rudis co-founder Tommy Rowlands is excited about the partnership.
“There is no better example that brings to life and authenticates the founding elements of our brand than the life and legacy of Dave Schultz. His contributions to our sport, both on the mat and through his passion to connect with the many cultures of wrestling all over the globe is what makes him arguably the most iconic name in the history of our sport, worldwide. Simply put, our company couldn’t be more honored to help facilitate those sentiments through our brand and this promotional shirt. For Dave Schultz, wrestling was a way of life,” said Rowlands.
Dave’s son, Xander, touches on the parallels between Rudis and his father’s life.
“My father believed every individual carried wisdom that could better himself. So he spent his life learning from others, and his greatness can be attributed to the way in which he lived. Wrestling cultivated that philosophy. Wrestling was his way of life," he said.
The shirt, which is made from a vintage thin fabric, features a still shot of Dave sporting his lovable smile and patented "wrestling beard." The subtle placement of Russian letters, which is a tribute to Dave's affinity for the Russian wrestling culture, translate to "A Way of Life."
Dave’s life and unfortunate tragic death will be featured in a major motion picture, Foxcatcher, premiering on November 14th.
