Iowa State Cyclones to be featured on USA Wrestling Google+ Hangout series on November 25

The Iowa State Cyclone wrestling team will be featured guests on USA Wrestling’s College Wrestling Google+ Hangout On Air series next Tuesday, Nov. 25 at 2 p.m. (EST).


Joining the guest panel for this event will be Iowa State Head Coach Kevin Jackson, Cyclone All-Americans Kyven Gadson and Michael Moreno and two-time NCAA qualifier Tanner Weatherman.


Jackson is now in his sixth season as headman for the Cyclone wrestling team. During his tenure, Jackson has coached three NCAA Champions in Jake Varner, David Zabriskie and Jon Reader. Prior to being hired at Iowa State, Jackson served as the USA Wrestling Men’s Freestyle National Coach for eight years. He is a two-time World Champion and an Olympic Champion.


Gadson is a two-time All-American at 197 pounds for the Cyclones having placed sixth at the NCAA Championships in 2013 and fourth in 2014. He is also a two-time Big 12 Champion.


Moreno enters his senior campaign for the Cyclones as a two-time All-American at 165 pounds. He captured sixth place at the NCAA Championships in 2013 and fifth place last year.


In 2013 Gadson and Moreno joined their fathers as the first father-son All-American duos in Iowa State’s rich history.


Weatherman is a two-time NCAA qualifier for the Cyclones at 174 pounds. He fell one victory shy of earning All-American honors last season.
