The major motion picture "Foxcatcher," which is directed by Academy Award winner Bennett Miller and features premier actors Channing Tatum, Steve Carell and Mark Ruffalo, debuts this week at the Cannes Film Festival.

This highly anticipated movie, which has been many years in the making, tells the story of Olympic champion wrestlers Dave and Mark Schultz, along with Team Foxcatcher founder John E. du Pont.

In January 1996, billionare du Pont murdered wrestling icon Dave Schultz in Newtown Square, Pa. as Schultz was training to try out for the 1996 U.S. Olympic Team. Mark Schultz, Dave’s younger brother, had retired from the sport at that time. Both had trained at the Team Foxcatcher facility on du Pont’s farm in suburban Philadelphia.

In addition to its debut in Cannes, Sony Classics has announced that the movie will be released November 14 in theaters.

The wrestling community was consulted on a regular basis during the research and development of this film.

A large number of articles in the entertainment industry on the film are now being published. Below are some of those links.
