U.S. Marines crown three Greco-Roman champions at Northeast Senior Regionals in E. Stroudsburg, Pa.

E. STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The U.S. Marine Corps had three individual champions in Greco-Roman at the Northeast Senior Regionals on Sunday.
Individual champions from the Marines included Aaron Kalil (Camp LeJeune, N.C./U.S. Marines) at 59 kg/130 lbs., Robby Neill (Camp LeJeune, N.C./U.S. Marines) at 80 kg/176 lbs. and Donald Simmons (Camp LeJeune, N.C./U.S. Marines) at 98 kg/216 lbs.
Kalil won a six-athlete roundrobin, including a 10-0 technical fall over eventual runner-up David Terao (Washington, D.C./DC Athletic Club), the former star at American University.
Neill swept a best-of-three series over Justin Yodice (Commack, N.Y./Kings Park WC) in two straight, with a pin and a technical fall. Neill competed for the U.S. Naval Academy in college.
Simmons won a five-athlete roundrobin, including a win over Marines teammate and eventual runner-up Courtney Myers by fall.
The champions from the Northeast Regional qualify to compete in the U.S. World Team Trials later this season.
Two clubs had a pair of individual champions, the Brooklyn Wrestling Club and the Modern Day Gladiators Wrestling Club.
Winning titles for the Brooklyn Wrestling Club were Andrei Stashonak (Brooklyn, N.Y./Brooklyn Wrestling Club) at 75 kg/165 lbs. and David Khavin (Brooklyn, N.Y./Brooklyn Wrestling Club) at 85 kg/187 lbs.
Champions from the Modern Day Gladiators were Jake Calhoun (Allentown, Pa./Modern Day Gladiators WC) at 66 kg/145.5 lbs. and Daniel Estricher (Shippensburg, Pa./Modern Day Gladiators WC) at 130 kg/186 lbs.
The other individual champion was two-time NCAA All-American from American, Kyle Borshoff (Bethesda, Md. (DC Athletic Club) at 71 kg/156 lbs., who won all of his matches by technical fall or pin.
