Eight U.S. wrestlers to visit White House with fellow Olympians and Paralympians on Friday

Eight members of the 2012 U.S. Olympic wrestling team will join other members of the 2012 U.S. Olympic Team and the 2012 U.S. Paralympic Team in a White House visit on Friday morning in Washington, D.C.
The wrestlers who will attend the White House visit and meet President Barack Obama include men's freestyle wrestlers Jordan Burroughs, Jake Herbert, Sam Hazewinkel and Tervel Dlagnev, Greco-Roman wrestlers Spenser Mango and Dremiel Byers and women wrestlers Clarissa Chun and Ali Bernard. Burroughs was an Olympic gold medalist and Chun won an Olympic bronze medal.
Traditionally, the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams are guests of the White House shortly after the conclusion of the Olympic Games.
The wrestling delegation will have two other important Washington D.C. visits with major national leaders.
The wrestling Olympians will have an appointment with U.S. Congressman Jim Jordan of Ohio. Jordan was a two-time NCAA wrestling champion for Wisconsin, and placed third at the 1988 U.S. Olympic Team Trials in freestyle behind Olympic champions John Smith and Randy Lewis at 62 kg/136.5 lbs.
The wrestlers will also be guest of the Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court John Roberts, who was a high school wrestler in Indiana, and may also meet other Supreme Court Justices.
