USA Wrestling is offering Women's Wrestling All-National Camps during the month of June. These camps are open to young women who wish to improve their skills.
Each camp will be led by a member of the United States Women's National Team. The goal is to expose and inform athletes of the opportunities that USA Wrestling has to offer, as well as allow the wrestlers to meet and learn from national team athletes.
The camps are strategically placed in different regions around the country, in an effort to offer an opportunity for the most athletes to attend. The camps will be held at:
-Lock Haven University in Lock Haven, Pa. from June 8-10
-King College in Bristol, Tenn. From June 8-10
-Wayland Baptist University in Plainview, Texas from June 13-15
The camps will have three sessions a day, each session including many different aspects of wrestling including new technique and mat strategies, nutritional advice, film study and mental preparation.
Half of the money raised from the camps will go to the local organizations, such as the state or college programs. The other half will help fund Junior and Cadet women's programs.
