FUNDRAISER TO BENEFIT ATHLETES CHASING OLYMPIC DREAMS
Madison, WI - The Badger Wrestling Club is again partnering with Milford Hills Hunt Club in Johnson Creek, to raise money for young wrestlers aspiring to compete internationally. The 12th annual Bucky Shoot will take place Saturday June 18 at Milford Hills.
"We get a really nice joy out of seeing these guys trying to make their Olympic dreams or world championship dreams," said Lloyd Marks, co-owner Milford Hills.
The event's unique prize system brings shooters ranging from novice to "some of the Midwest's best."
"There is a Lewis Class form so it rewards those who don't shoot as much." Marks said. "There are five classes and we usually pay out around $1,000 a class."
Last year's event paid out more than $8,000 in prize money.
9:00 - 10:00 am Registration
10:30 am - Lunch
11:00 am - Shotgun Start
3:00 pm - Dinner & Auction
Auction items include an authentic Aaron Rodgers signed jersey, 2011 Season UW Football Tickets and 2011-12 Season UW Hockey Tickets.
Three-time World Champion Wrestler Lee Kemp returns to Wisconsin for a special appearance. Also appearing will be former UW-Basketball Star Darin Schubring and the UW-Wrestling coaching staff.
