The 20th nationally-ranked wrestler posted a 3-0 record including an 8-6 decision over sixth ranked Jason Chamberlain of Boise State at the NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals on January 9 in Cedar Falls, IA.

Following Buffalo's upset of Nebraska, Green and his teammates would face seventh nationally-ranked Maryland. Despite the Bulls fall to the Terrapins, 31-7, Green earned one of the Bulls' two victories in the dual. In a repeat bout from this year's UB Open, Green would face off against Maryland's Jon Kohler.
