Lucky USA Wrestling member Todd Dollen scores NCAA Division I tickets

Colorado Springs, Colo. "" Todd Dollen, a wrestling coach from Red Oak, Iowa, was drawn as the recipient of two NCAA Division I Championship tickets through a drawing of current USA Wrestling members. The competition was held at the Qwest Center in Omaha, Nebraska, March 18-20.
The member giveaway program, a program of USA Wrestling's State Services Department, is designed to provide additional benefits of membership with USA Wrestling.
"We selected a few prizes that are highly sought after, so we hope the winners have a great experience. Todd Dollen's great experience at the NCAAs is hopefully par for the course for our future winners," said Tony Black, Manager of State Services.
Dollen was impressed with his first experience watching a live wrestling event of this magnitude.
"I had a very enjoyable three days of watching wrestling. I thought the venue was outstanding. The atmosphere really reminded me of the Iowa High School State Tournament. How the mats were elevated and the wrestlers' entries to the mat made the finals special" said Dollen.
Being a wrestling coach, Dollen is well aware of the intensity and emotions that fill a wrestling tournament.
"For me, the tournament had the same feel as state tournaments I have attended from the grade school level on up. The actions of the wrestlers, coaches, and fans seem to be the same at all levels, filled with emotions" explains Dollen.
Dollen received VIP passes to the Team USA practice that was held between sessions where several notable former Olympic wrestlers made their presence.
"We already have our tickets purchased for the World Team Trials in Council Bluffs in June" said Dollen.
Other prizes already awarded this season include: Asics Ultratek wrestling shoes, USA Wrestling and a Dremiel Byers autographed singlet.
The NCAA ticket giveaway was one of the many prizes that will be awarded to lucky USA Wrestling members in the 2009-10 season. Other prizes that will be given away are a private camp from Olympian Jim Gruenwald, an experience-of-a-lifetime with the U.S. Freestyle Team, behind-the-scenes opportunities at U.S. Open and the World Team Trials, autographed wrestling memorabilia from World medalist, among other prizes.
Reminder emails will be going out to former members who have yet to renew. All current members are automatically entered in the drawings.
