NWCA/USA Today Division I Team Coaches Poll - Week 3
The NWCA/USA Today Division I Team Coaches Poll for November 24, 2009, has been released.
The NWCA/USA Today Division I Team Coaches Poll Committee is made up of one coach from each conference. A number one ranking is worth 25 points and a number 25 ranking is worth one point.
Iowa retains their No. 1 spot for the third week in a row. Oklahoma State, Ohio State and Minnesota all jump one spot while Maryland takes the No. 6 spot after defeating Cornell in a head to head match up late last week by a score of 18-17. Cornell who was ranked No. 3 last week dropped to No. 9.
Other movement in the top 10, Missouri dropped to No. 16 this week after a loss to both Cal Poly and Purdue last week and Central Michigan moved up one spot, bringing them into the top 10 for the first time this season.
A new poll will be released every Tuesday from now until the week of the NCAA Division I Wrestling Tournament and can be found at www.nwcaonline.com.
