USA Wrestling will host eight Junior Regionals around the country. These popular events have offered excellent competition for High School athletes in the Olympic styles of Greco-Roman and freestyle wrestling.
Top Junior wrestlers from across the nation are expected to compete in each event, making the tournaments highly competitive.
They can compete in as many Junior Regionals as they want. Junior wrestlers may compete in any Junior Regional event, regardless of where they live.
The top three placewinners in each weight class at a Junior Regional qualifies for their state team for the ASICS/Vaughan Junior Nationals.
Athletes can register online for all the Junior Regional Championships through www.trackwrestling.com (remember to search by state). Those who don't register will pay a $10 late fee at the door.
In addition, there will be three Senior Regional events. Two of events are qualifiers for the World Team Trials, Northeast Senior Regional in Brockport, N.Y. and Northern Plains Senior Regional in Waterloo, Iowa.
