The fifth-ranked O'Connor knocked off returning NCAA champion Jordan Leen of Cornell 7-5 in double-overtime en route to winning the 157-pound title at the Binghamton Brute Open on Nov. 15 in Binghamton, N.Y.
O'Connor, a junior, scored a takedown in the second tiebreaker to win the match with Leen in a battle of college standouts. O'Connor, a two-time All-All-American, advanced to the finals by earning three decisions and a technical fall.
