Zach White's narrow decision of Cadet All-American Cody Krumweide at 215 gave Oklahoma a 10-point lead. A pin at 285 was not enough for Iowa as the hosts gave Iowa its first loss of the tournament, 33-28.
California won four of the first five bouts against Minnesota but the fourth place finisher from 2008 stormed back with 10 straight to move to 8-0.

A late second period hip toss for 3 sparked Ryan Garringer to a three period victory over Kyven Gadsen at 189 but Krumweide secured the win for Iowa with a pair of coin-toss wins that led to 3-pointers at 215.
Ohio throttled California, 54-5, Marco DeCaro's win at 152 the only victory for California.
