FARGO, N.D. - USA Wrestling has had its share of talented twin brothers make an impact over the years.
Jade and Valyen Rauser of Montana have become a part of that list.
The Rausers punched their tickets into the final round of the Junior Nationals Greco-Roman competition with strong performances on Tuesday morning.
Jade Rauser reached the finals at 105 pounds while Valyen reached the finals at 112. The final round is set for 3 p.m. at the FargoDome.
Jade Rauser remains in contention to win a Triple Crown in the Junior division. This is the third year Juniors have had a chance to win the Triple Crown after a class for them was added at the 2007 Folkstyle Nationals. Jade won a Junior Folkstyle Nationals title in April in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
The Rausers will each face wrestlers from Arizona in the finals. Jade will meet Chris Bostic in the 105 finals. Valyen will battle Ryak Finch in the 112 finals. Bostic won a 2009 FILA Cadet Nationals title in Greco-Roman. Finch placed second in the 2008 Junior Nationals in Greco-Roman and freestyle.
The best matchup of the finals may be at 152 where 2008 Junior Nationals champions Kendrick Sanders of Florida and Kalvin York will square off. Sanders won last year at 145 and York won Junior Nationals at 152.
2008 Junior Nationals double champion Ryan Mango of Missouri has advanced to the finals at 119 pounds. Mango is younger brother of 2008 Olympian and 2009 World Team member Spenser Mango.
2008 Cadet Triple Crown winner Dylan Ness of Minnesota remains alive to win a Junior Triple Crown. Ness rebounded from a loss earlier in the tournament to make the Junior Nationals Greco-Roman finals at 140.
2008 Cadet Nationals double champion Andrew Campolattano of New Jersey (189) has reached the Junior Nationals finals in Greco.
Returning Junior Nationals champion Ethen Lofthouse of Utah (171) fell short of making the finals. He will compete in the third-place match Tuesday afternoon.
Returning Junior Nationals champion Jake Bellis of Illinois (105) came up short of reaching the finals. He will wrestle in the third-place match.
