COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Tatiana Padilla, Deanna Rix and Elena Pirozhkova each made their first U.S. World Team in women's freestyle wrestling in 2008.
All three wrestlers are back as members of the 2009 World Team that will compete at the World Championships on Sept. 21-27 in Herning, Denmark.
Padilla placed third at the 2008 Worlds and Rix placed fifth. Pirozhkova won a World University title in 2008. The three women talked about the current training camp that is winding down at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.
U.S. National Coach Terry Steiner also outlined what the team is trying to accomplish during its camp.
