Oversee running of USA Wrestling's Freestyle Resident Program. Includes daily operations, recruiting and training of Resident athletes and athletes that train with the Resident Program on a short term basis.
Specific Responsibilities
* Nationwide recruiting of elite athletes to Resident Program
* Daily schedule of training freestyle resident athletes
* Responsible for providing USOC with all applicable communications regarding individual development plans, program schedule and goals
* Oversee training special schedule for non-resident athletes
* Work with National Freestyle Coach with scheduling of national camps for Senior athletes
* Work with Freestyle Developmental Coach to incorporate elite age-group athletes and age-group camps into the Resident Training schedule
* Participate as needed in the advancement of USA Wrestling Coaches Education Program
* Keep abreast of most up-to-date techniques and training methods in Freestyle wrestling
Requirements: Elite-level international freestyle coaching and/or competitive experience required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Ability to travel, work weekends and some evenings is required.
Reports to National Freestyle Coach/National Teams Director.
