U.S. men's freestyle wrestlers capture two bronze medals at FILA Junior Worlds

Quentin Wright and Clayton Foster both won bronze medals, Saturday, August 2 at the FILA Junior World Championships in Istanbul, Turkey.
Wright (Bellefonte, Penn./Penn State) came from behind in the bronze medal match to claim the medal. He was trailing George Harth of Germany by four points when he was able to score the fall.
Wright had a 3-2 record at 74 kg/163 lbs. He topped Ismail Bulut of Turkey and Andrei Kasmynin of Belarus before losing to Saeed Tavakol of Iran in the quarterfinals. Wright then beat Mohammed Ahmed Ismaiel of Egypt to put him in the third-place match.
At 96 kg/211.5 lbs., Foster (Kooskia, Idaho/Gator WC) just missed the championship bout after a loss to Shamil Dibirov of Ukraine in the semifinals. Foster came back to win his next match convincingly and capture a bronze medal. He defeated Mohammed Suhail of Iraq to take third place.
Foster beat Mustafa Ozdemir of Turkey and Simas Norkus of Lithuania in the first two rounds of action.
Mark Rappo (Holland, Penn./Sunkist Kids) won his first round match over Carlos Enrique Vasquez of Ecuador at 50 kg/112 lbs., but was eliminated by Ozbek Kamalov of Uzbekistan in the second round.
Colorado-native Tyler Graff (New York AC) also went 1-1 on the day at 60 kg/132 lbs. He defeated Hardeep Singh of India but fell to Muhammet Demir of Turkey to be eliminated.
Action in men's freestyle concludes the tournament tomorrow with the 55 kg, 66 kg, 84 kg, and 120 kg weight classes. The match-ups for these four weights have been announced.
