Dave Schultz was and always will be a very important member of the wrestling community - as is his wife, Nancy, and his family.
As you know, John duPont shot and killed Dave Schultz just before the '96 Olympics. USA Wrestling has been informed that duPont is currently eligible for parole and that the Office of the Victim Advocate (OVA) is accepting statements from those who wish to be heard on whether duPont should be released. USA Wrestling has been asked to provide the following information in the event people want to provide a statement to the OVA.
Schultz's family opposes duPont's release.
The deadline for statements is August 15, 2008.
Statements should reference Inmate No. DG1158, John duPont
