USA Wrestling has updated its new "Bout of the Week" which has been posted as a video file on-line on TheMat.com Audio/Video website .
The featured match this week is the freestyle finals match at 66 kg/145.5 lbs. from the Sunkist Kids International Open on Oct. 28 in Chandler, Ariz.
Two-time World medalist Cary Kolat, who retired after the 2000 Olympics before making a comeback earlier this year, scored a 3-2, 1-0 win over past National Team member Eric Larkin in the final round at the Sunkist event. Both wrestlers compete for the Sunkist Kids.
The powerful Kolat executed a three-point throw to capture the first period and then won the second period from the defensive position in the leg clinch. Larkin started with Kolat's leg, but the strong defense of Kolat was evident when he quickly kicked his leg free to break loose en route to winning the period.
Kolat, 34, was a World silver medalist in 1997 and a World bronze medalist in 1998. He placed fourth in the World in 1999 before finishing ninth at the 2000 Olympics in Sydney, Australia.
Kolat returned to the mat last April, placing fourth at the U.S. Nationals. Larkin placed third at the 2007 U.S. World Team Trials.
This popular feature will be changed on a regular basis, allowing members to enjoy many of the greatest matches in wrestling history. Many other entertaining and historic matches are in the archive section for the Bout of the Week.
