No. 1 Women’s stars Marano and Downing to conduct clinic and autograph session at Body Bar Women’s Nationals on Saturday

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Body Bar Systems of Boulder, Colo. will sponsor a technique clinic and autograph session in conjunction with The Body Bar Women's National Championships this Saturday April 21st at approximately 4:00 pm.

Two-time World Champion Kristie Marano (Colorado Springs, Colo./New York AC) and 2005 World Bronze Medalist Katie Downing will be the featured clinicians. Both will be available for autographs following the clinic.

The Body Bar Women's wrestling clinic will immediately follow the second session of the FILA Junior Division competition, which is scheduled to end at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Marano was a 2000 and 2003 World Champion, and has won eight World medals during her amazing career. She recently won the U.S. Women's National Championships at 72 kg/158.5 lbs.

Downing has competed on the last two U.S. World Teams, winning her bronze medal at the 2005 World Championships. She was the 2007 U.S. Women's National champion at 67 kg/147.5 lbs.

Body Bar Systems produces "The Body Bar" and its accompanying "Master Your Body" video and DVD series. It has proven to be an equalizer in fitness facilities with new students, advanced exercisers and professionals finding new ways to challenge themselves. The Body Bar is also proving to be a powerful home-workout tool, with no loose parts and easy storage.

USA Wrestling's Women's National Team uses the Body Bar System to supplement their training regimen as they approach the 2007 World Championships.

"We continue to implement the Body Bar into our program," Terry Steiner, USA Wrestling Women's National Coach said. "We are very excited to have them on our team."

The Body Bar Women's National Championships will be held at the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., April 21-22. There will be national championships tournaments in the University (ages 18-24), FILA Junior (ages 17-20) and FILA Cadet (ages 15-17) divisions, as well as a Girls National Tournament (grades 3-6 and grades 7-8).
