11 stars make Cadet National Duals All-Tournament Team in both styles

YORK, Pa. – The All-Tournament Teams in Greco-Roman and freestyle have been announced from this past week’s Cadet National Duals, a dual meet competition featuring 15-16 year-old wrestlers representing state association teams.


An athlete must go undefeated in a minimum number of matches in that specific style to earn All-Tournament Team honors.


There were 11 talented wrestlers who made Cadet National Duals All-Tournament Team in both styles. These stars included Alex Cottey of Indiana (88/94), Eric Faught of Iowa (100), Dylan Shawver of Ohio (106), Isaac Wilcox of Utah (145), Julian Ramirez of Florida (160), Devin Winston of Missouri (170), Zach Braunagel of Illinois (170), Lucas Davison of Indiana (182/195), Kaleb Reeves of Iowa (195/220), Tyler Curd of Missouri (220/285) and Montana Phillips of Oklahoma (285).


Of the athletes on both All-Tournament Team, the best records were held by Isaac Wilcox of Utah at 145 pounds and Lucas Davison of Indiana at 182/195 pounds with 16-0 overall records. Both wrestlers went 8-0 in freestyle and 8-0 in Greco-Roman.


In Greco-Roman, there were 41 athletes on the All-Tournament Team, representing 20 different states. Leading with four All-Tournament athletes were Iowa and Illinois. Next with three team members were Washington, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania and Missouri.


In freestyle, there were 51 athletes on the All-Tournament Team, representing 18 different states. Illinois had the most members on the team with seven, followed with Pennsylvania with six, Iowa with five and Georgia with four.
