Deadline to book U.S. Open rooms at South Point Hotel in Las Vegas is Tuesday

The 2016 Open Wrestling Championships are just over one week away! This annual event offers competition in multiple styles for nearly every age group! Kids (prebantam through Schoolboy), Cadets, and Juniors have the opportunity to compete in Folkstyle, Freestyle, and Greco-Roman. Meanwhile this event is the National Championship for UWW Juniors and Veterans in both Freestyle and Greco-Roman.
Wrestlers have the opportunity to stay at the host property, the SouthPoint Hotel, in Las Vegas and receive a discounted entry fee, but rooms must be booked by TUESDAY, APRIL 19TH! See below for complete details on how this deal works and how to get your room and discounted entry fee. All of the weigh-ins and competitions take place at the SouthPoint Hotel property, so wrestlers will be able to walk from their rooms over to the competition each day. Participants and spectators at this event from previous years will notice the absence of the Seniors in 2016. The Olympic year requires a shift in our senior schedule, so the Open for Seniors was held in December and the U.S. Olympic Team Trials for wrestling was contested April 9-10 at Carver Hawkeye Arena in Iowa City, Iowa. Prior to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Team USA will be competing at the Men’s Freestyle World Cup, June 11-12 at the Forum in Inglewood, California. How to reserve your room and get the discounted wrestler registration price:
1. Follow this link to reserve your hotel at the SouthPoint Hotel by Tuesday, April 19th:

2. Be sure to enter the code USA0502 in the Group Code box when making your hotel reservation.
3. After you reserve your hotel room you will receive your CONFIRMATION NUMBER from the SouthPoint. This number is only for your records regarding your hotel stay, it does not have any involvement with the discounted wrestler registration.
4. You will then receive a second email from the SouthPoint that will contain your COUPON CODE for the U.S. Open. The number should be 8 digits and contain a mix of letters and numbers. You will need one code per wrestler (even if a wrestler is competing in 3 styles, only one code per wrestler is needed).
5. When registering for the event on TrackWrestling, at the bottom of the page where you enter all of the wrestler information and select the age group, style and weight class, there is a box marked “Coupon code”. Enter the 8 digit code in this box. You should see the discounted price reflected when you proceed to checkout.
6. If you have trouble entering your code and/or do not see the discounted price, please contact USA Wrestling PRIOR to paying for your registration. Failure to properly enter the discount code at the time registration is paid does not guarantee that any refund will be given. We ask that all issues be resolved before the registration is paid for.
