Alex Campos-Chambers (Chico, Calif./Sacramento City College) has been named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week.
Each week, TheMat.com will select an Athlete of the Week, based upon performance within wrestling for that week. The selection committee will consider any level of wrestling, from youth programs through the Senior level.
Campos-Chambers won the 184-pound title at the Golden Eagle Invitational on Saturday in Lemoore, Calif.
He recorded four falls and was named outstanding upper weight wrestler in the event. He is 7-1 this season with six falls.
"Alex is a hard working young man who believes he can do it all -- and usually does," Sac City coach Dave Pacheco said.
