Steve Bosak (State College, Pa./Cornell University) has been named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week for Nov. 15-21.
Each week, TheMat.com will select an Athlete of the Week, based upon performance within wrestling for that week. The selection committee will consider any level of wrestling, from youth programs through the Senior level.
The fourth-ranked Bosak earned a key 8-2 over No. 6 Kevin Steinhaus to lead No. 5 Cornell to a 21-16 home win over No. 3 Minnesota this past Friday in Itchaca, N.Y.
Bosak followed the next day by winning the 184-pound title at Cornell's Body Bar Invitational. He won by major decision in the first round before recording back-to-back falls. He downed No. 15 Jon Fausey of Virginia 2-0 in the finals.
Bosak, a senior, placed fourth at the 2011 NCAA Championships. He compiled a 34-5 record as a junior.
