Andrew Howe named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week for April 19-25

Andrew Howe (Cedar Lake, Ind./Badger WC) has been named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week for April 19-25.
Each week, TheMat.com will select an Athlete of the Week, based upon performance within wrestling for that week. The selection committee will consider any level of wrestling, from youth programs through the Senior level.
Howe outlasted two-time NCAA champion Kyle Dake of Cornell to win the University Nationals freestyle championship at 74 kg/163 lbs. on Saturday afternoon at the University of Akron.
Howe, a 2010 NCAA champion and 2010 U.S. Open champion, beat Dake 3-1, 1-2, 1-0 in the finals. He was named Outstanding Wrestler in the event.
Howe, a junior at Wisconsin, is a three-time All-American. He has placed second, first and third in three trips to the NCAA tournament. He took second at the 2010 U.S. World Team Trials in freestyle.
