Hunter Stieber named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week for June 22-28

Hunter Stieber (Monroeville, Ohio/Team Ohio) has been named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week for June 22-28.
Each week, TheMat.com will select an Athlete of the Week, based upon performance within wrestling for that week. The selection committee will consider any level of wrestling, from youth programs through the Senior level.
Stieber went a perfect 9-0 at 135 pounds in the Junior National Duals freestyle competition this past weekend in Oklahoma City, Okla. Stieber helped Ohio to a third-place team finish.
Stieber knocked off top wrestlers that included Minnesota recruit Nick Dardanes, Jake Sueflohn of Wisconsin and Jordan Rinken of Iowa. He posted six shutout wins, including one by fall.
Stieber is the younger brother of Ohio State recruit Logan Stieber. Hunter Stieber will try to join his brother and become a four-time Ohio state high school champion during the 2010-11 season.
Hunter Stieber has verbally committed to Ohio State. He has a 129-2 record for Monroeville High School. He won the 2009 Ironman title and is a Cadet Nationals champion in freestyle.
