Tatiana Padilla named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week for June 29-July 5

Tatiana Padilla (Colorado Springs, Colo./Sunkist Kids) has been named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week for June 29-July 5.
Each week, TheMat.com will select an Athlete of the Week, based upon performance within wrestling for that week. The selection committee will consider any level of wrestling, from youth programs through the Senior level.
Padilla won the Canada Cup women's freestyle title at 59 kg/130 lbs. on July 3 in Guelph, Ontario.
Padilla scored an impressive 6-1, 1-0 victory over two-time Olympic medalist Tonya Verbeek of Canada in the finals. Padilla was up a weight from 55 kg, where she is wrestling at the Senior World Championships. However, Padilla will compete at 59 kg at the Junior World Championships.
Padilla won a World bronze medal in 2008 before placing fifth in the 2009 World Championships.
