Iowa State's Jon Reader named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week for Feb. 9-15

Jon Reader (Davison, Mich./Iowa State University) has been named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week for Feb. 9-15.
Each week, TheMat.com will select an Athlete of the Week, based upon performance within wrestling for that week. The selection committee will consider any level of wrestling, from youth programs through the Senior level.
Reader downed fifth-ranked Nicholas Marable 3-2 in Iowa State's 28-10 win over Missouri on Feb. 14 in Ames, Iowa.
Reader, a two-time All-American, was previously 0-3 against the Missouri All-American.
Reader, a junior, is 20-3 overall this season and ranked third nationally at 165 pounds.
Reader is a top international prospect in freestyle wrestling. He placed fourth in the 2009 U.S. World Team Trials. He also was second in the Pan American Championships and the Sunkist Kids International Open in 2009.
