Blake Rosholt named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week for Dec. 7-13

Blake Rosholt (Ponca City, Okla./Oklahoma State University) has been named TheMat.com Wrestler of the Week for December 7-13.
Each week, TheMat.com will select an Athlete of the Week, based upon performance within wrestling for that week. The selection committee will consider any level of wrestling, from youth programs through the Senior level.
Rosholt, an unranked freshman, knocked off eighth-ranked Nathan Fernandez to lead No. 2 Oklahoma State to a 22-12 dual victory over No. 8 Oklahoma on Sunday in Stillwater.
Rosholt trailed 3-2 in the third period before scoring a reversal with 25 seconds left to win the match 4-3 at heavyweight. Rosholt won the match despite weighing only 211 pounds. He was giving up approximately 50 pounds against Fernandez.
Rosholt is the younger brother of past Oklahoma State wrestlers Jake and Jared Rosholt, who combined for seven All-American finishes and three NCAA titles for the Cowboys.
