Wyoming Seminary girls beat Team Europe in dual meet in Tallinn, Estonia

The Wyoming Seminary girls team, which is in Europe on a competition tour, won a freestyle dual meet against Team Europe, which included girls from a number of European nations, 10-2 on Friday in Tallinn, Estonia.


The meet was held prior to the Tallinn Open, which will be held this coming weekend. Competition was held in three different age-levels, U15, U17 and U20.


Wyoming Seminary is the No. 1 ranked team at the high school level in the United States. We will note the individual athletes’ national rankings from today’s National Girls High School Rankings.


Two Wyoming Seminary wrestlers were winners at the U15 level, Emma Grimes (39 kg) and Ava Guilmette (54 kg)


The three Wyoming Seminary winners at the U17 level were No. 21 Amelia Murphy (49 kg), No. 13 Isis France (61 kg) and No. 25 Alexandria Alli (73 kg).


The five Wyoming Seminary winners at the U20 level were No. 10 Clare Booe (50 kg), No. 3 Virginia Foard (53 kg), Maddi Wellen (59 kg), No. 13 Kryssceah Ravenelle (62 kg) and Love Daley (68 kg).


“We started off hot tonight and kept the momentum going. Tomorrow is active recovery, then Sunday will be the individual tournament. The girls are focused and enjoying their time here so far,” said SEM assistant coach Bret Fry.
