A pair of wins by nationally-ranked wrestlers bookended a 20-18 win over the 22nd-ranked Princeton wrestling team over No. 6 Arizona State on Sunday in Jadwin Gym.

The win was the third over a top-10 team in the team's last three competitive seasons. Both of the other two were against Lehigh, against the seventh-ranked Mountain Hawks in November 2019 and a year earlier when Lehigh was ranked No. 8.

In a national top-four battle second-ranked Patrick Glory was a 12-6 winner over fourth-ranked Brandon Courtney, giving Princeton a 3-0 lead to start. The win kept Glory perfect on the season at 5-0 and extended his win streak to 29 straight matches.

Arizona State won four of the next five matches, but the one in that stretch that went to the Tigers turned out to be a big one, as Danny Coles scored late to get an 8-7 decision over Cleveland Belton.

At the end of that stretch, Arizona State led 14-6 with four bouts to go, but the tide was about to turn Princeton's way.

At 174, Nate Dugan was an 8-4 winner over Zane Coleman, bringing Princeton within five at 14-6.

After a forfeit at 184, Princeton was ahead 15-14, and Luke Stout all but sealed it with a tech-fall win at 197.

Once Matt Cover went the distance at heavyweight, Princeton had its win, 20-18.
