Indian Hills claims fourth-straight NJCAA Women’s Wrestling Invitational title

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa – Indian Hills made it six national titles in a row, and fourth-straight at the NJCAA level, with a sensational effort at the 2026 NJCAA Women’s Wrestling Invitational on Saturday night at the Mid-America Center.

Gabriela Avila Diaz (124) and Azreal Smith (235) captured individual titles for the Warriors. Indian Hills amassed 229 team points on the strength of 12 All-Americans.

Finishing in second place was Southeast Nebraska, which collected 203.5 team points and three individual champions—Emma Albanese at 117 pounds, Billie Bonwell at 160 pounds and Martha Hinneh at 207 pounds.

Hinneh was a repeat champion, as was Ayana Fletcher of Iowa Western at 145 pounds.

Rounding out the top five programs in the team standings were Iowa Central in third place, Umpqua in fourth place and Murray State in fifth place.
