USA Wrestling has finalized its team for the 2022 Pan American U15 Championships, which are scheduled for Apartado, Colombia, November 4-6.

The team was formed based upon the results of the 2022 U15 Pan American Team Trials, held at Boys Town High School in Boys Town, Neb., August 5-6. All of the athletes on the U.S. roster have confirmed that they will be attending the competition.

The boys who qualified for the U.S. U15 Pan American team will be determined by the highest point value (of both styles combined) from the tournament. Based upon the points earned, as set in the U15 Pan American Team Procedures, a team member was determined. Each boy who made the team will wrestle both freestyle and Greco-Roman at the 2022 Pan American U15 Championships.

Boys who won both styles at the U15 Pan American Team Trials and confirmed their participation include Henry Aslikyan of California (44 kg), Josiah Boyden of Georgia (52 kg), Thomas Verrette of Colorado (57 kg), Mikel David Uyemura of California (68 kg), Terrell McFarland of Pennsylvania (75 kg) and Dreshaun Ross of Iowa (85 kg).

The other boys who made the team earned the most points based upon the Trials procedures. Those confirmed to compete at the Pan American U15 Championships also include Liam Collins of Minnesota (38 kg), Jensen Boyd of Indiana (41 kg), Lincoln Sledzianowski of Florida (48 kg) and Nolan Fellers of Iowa (62 kg).

All nine of the girls who won titles at the U15 Pan American Team Trials have confirmed that they will compete for Team USA. They include Brynn Engel of Wisconsin (33 kg), Jaclyn Bouzakis of Florida (39 kg), Morgan Turner of Illinois (42 kg), Ysabelle Ocampo of Indiana (46 kg), Jayden Keller of Missouri (50 kg), Isabella Marie Gonzales of California (54 kg), Taina Fernandez of Maryland (58 kg), Isis France of Arizona (62 kg) and Skylar Slade of Iowa (66 kg).

There were no entries at 36 kg women’s freestyle weight class at the U15 Pan American Team Trials. The champion at 36 kg at the U15 Nationals, Jaclyn Bouzakis, has moved up and made the team at her new weight class. Francesca Gusfa of New Jersey, who placed second behind Bouzakis at the U15 Nationals at 36 kg, was offered the team berth and has accepted.
