FARGO, N.D. — Semifinal pairings are finalized for the Junior Greco-Roman division as the final tournament here at the 2021 Junior and 16U Nationals at the FargoDone is set to conclude with Friday’s action. Leading into tomorrow, Team Illinois leads the way with seven wrestlers represented in the semifinals. Team California and Team Wisconsin both have six in the semis.

Oklahoma’s Jordan Williams, the 145-pound junior freestyle champion earlier in the week, is looking to double up here in Fargo in the 152-pound Greco-Roman weight class. He has worked his way into the semis and will wrestle Nebraska’s Nick Hamilton in tomorrow’s semifinal match. Williams made it to the finals by defeating Zerban in a tight 7-6 quarterfinal bout.

In the Round of 16, a pair of finalists from the junior men’s freestyle division were beaten, shifting up the brackets early in the session. Pennsylvania’s Marco Tocci (106) knocked off Arizona’s Brandon Morvari (106-pound junior freestyle finalist), while Illinois’ Vincent Zerban, who is ranked No. 6 nationally by FloWrestling, defeated New Jersey’s Daniel Wask (152-pound junior freestyle finalist).

Florida’s Ryan Cody, a 2019 Junior Nationals runner-up, is looking to tack on a Fargo title to his list of accomplishments. He’s into the semifinals at 195 pounds, wrestling Wisconsin’s Max Ramberg.

Keep an eye on Benjamin Aranda (Illinois) at 113 pounds. He’s another semifinalist who made the junior freestyle finals — Aranda will be wrestling Wisconsin’s Kaleb Casey.

Tomorrow’s wrestling will begin at 9:00 a.m. CT. All matches can be watched live on FloWrestling.
