SAVE THE DATES: USA Wrestling releases preliminary 2021-22 National Events schedule

With the 2021-22 USA Wrestling membership season now underway, USA Wrestling has begun to release its schedule of national events for the new season.


There will be a full schedule of USA Wrestling national and regional events held in the season ahead, including competition in numerous age-groups and wrestling styles.


As families begin to work on their wrestling competition plans for the 2021-22 season, USA Wrestling wants to make sure you are aware of the dates for its popular national and regional events.


At this time, USA Wrestling has posted these events to its online schedule on USAWrestlingEvents.com

CURRENT ONLINE EVENT SCHEDULE

September 11-12 - Senior World Team Trials, Lincoln, Neb.

October 15-17- Folkstyle Tour of America - National Club Duals, Wisconsin Dells, Wis.

October 29-31 -USA Wrestling Brian Keck Memorial Preseason Nationals, Des Moines, Iowa

November 5-7 - Folkstyle Tour of America - King & Queen of the Mountain, Colorado Springs, Colo.

November 5 - Folkstyle Tour of America - Battle of the Bell, Manheim, Pa.

November 19-21 - Folkstyle Tour of America - Northwest Bigfoot Battle, Spokane, Wash.

March 11-13 - Folkstyle Tour of America - Dominate in the Dells, Wisconsin Dells, Wis.

March 18-20 - USA Wrestling Girls Folkstyle Nationals, Colorado Springs, Colo.

April 1-3 - USA Wrestling Folkstyle Nationals & High School Recruiting Showcase, Cedar Falls, Iowa

April 26-30 - 2022 U.S. Open Events, Las Vegas, Nevada (Senior, Masters, UWW Junior, UWW Cadet, U15, UWW Futures)


Please note that there are three more Folkstyle Tour of America events which will be added to the schedule in the upcoming days.


In addition to the Senior World Team Trials in Lincoln, Neb. in September, four other major national events are already on the events schedule.


Please note that the National High School Recruiting Showcase, a popular event which was launched in 2021, will be added as an additional elite division at the USA Wrestling Folkstyle Nationals in Cedar Falls, Iowa, April 1-3. As in 2021, high school state champions will automatically qualify for the National Recruiting Showcase, along with athletes who qualify through a series of National Recruiting Showcase Qualifiers in March. More details to come.


The U.S. Open, which includes nine different national events, will return to Las Vegas, Nev., April 26-30.

Some events are not yet ready to be added to the online schedule, but USA Wrestling wanted to provide the expected dates for the following events, so families can make plans to attend them.

May 13-15 – Frank E. Rader Southeast Regional Championships

May 20-22 – World Team Trials Challenge Tournament

June 3-5 – U23 World Team Trials

June 8-12 – 14U National Duals

June 14-18 – 16U National Duals

June 21-25 – Junior National Duals/14U Girls National Duals

June 23-35 – Kids Freestyle and Greco-Roman National Championships
