The New York City Regional Training Center is proud to announce the hiring of Emma Randall as Head Coach of the NYC RTC women’s wrestling program. Emma will be tasked with developing a team of resident athletes for the RTC, creating a training/competition schedule and identifying training partners for the women’s program. Emma will coach the Columbia University undergraduate women wrestlers who compete through the NYC RTC. In addition, Emma will be engaged in the development of Cadet, Junior & U23 women’s wrestling in the region.

Emma most recently served as the head girls coach and program director for Beat the Streets NYC. She was a member of USA Wrestling's National coaching staff from 2012-2018. Emma has been coach of numerous world teams at all age levels including the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro.

Emma earned her B.A. and M.S. in Sports Psychology from Lock Haven University where she competed for the team and wrestled on the senior circuit. In 2016, Randall earned her USA Wrestling Gold level coaching certification. She is one of less than 80 coaches to hold that certification and the only woman.

Through her own business, Evolve Leadership and Performance Training, she is dedicated to the growth and development of females and coaches in sports.

“I am honored to join the NYC RTC staff alongside Kendall Cross and Valentin Kalika.I’m excited to bring together the surrounding high school, university, and elite women together in an effort to make the NYC RTC an epicenter for advancing women’s wrestling,” said Randall.

Kendall Cross added: “Emma Randall is highly respected in the wrestling community for her efforts on a multitude of platforms in our sport. She’s going to be a tremendous asset to our organization as a whole, and our women’s program will be blessed with her presence!”

Emma is slated to begin July 1, 2021.
