Cael Nasdeo named USA Wrestling Athlete of the Week

Cael Nasdeo (Williamsport, Pa./Buffalo Valley RTC) has been selected as USA Wrestling Athlete of the Week on April 4.
Nasdeo won the 126-pound title in the Junior division at the 2023 USA Wrestling Folkstyle Nationals, March 31-April 1 in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
Nasdeo won five straight matches on the way to the title, including three pins, a technical fall and a major decision. In the championship finals, Nasdeo pinned Jake Castagneto of Team Idaho in 57 seconds.
Competing for Williamsport High School as a senior, Nasdeo was a Pennsylvania Class AAA state champion at 121 pounds this year. He has a current No. 18 national ranking by FloWrestling. He will attend Penn State University.
