Positive Athlete nominations now open for 2025–2026, recognizing well-rounded student-athletes

USA Wrestling is proud to continue and expand our Strategic Alliance with Positive Athlete, a national organization committed to recognizing high-character student-athletes across the country.

As part of our mission to grow wrestling and develop well-rounded young leaders, we encourage nominations for high school student-athletes (grades 9–12) who exemplify character, leadership, resilience, and positivity — both on and off the mat.

Who Can Nominate?

Any adult age 18 and over — including:

• Coaches

• Teachers

• Parents

• Mentors

Coaches and other adult leaders are encouraged to print and distribute information on this program in their facilities, email them team, and post on your digital platforms. Let’s work together to make sure USA Wrestling athletes are proudly represented nationwide!

Positive Athlete has awarded more than $600,000 in scholarships. There have been more than 3,500 athletes and coaches recognized, from a pool of over 72,000 nominees.
