Coleman gets No. 6 seed in Greco-Roman at 2025 Senior World Championships

United World Wrestling has released its Greco-Roman seeds for the 2025 Senior World Championships based upon the preliminary entry list for the competition.
One U.S. Greco-Roman wrestler received a seed, 2012 Olympian and four-time Senior World Team member Ellis Coleman, received the No. 6 seed at 63 kg.
The remaining nine U.S. entrants — Jayden Raney (55 kg), Max Black (60 kg), Alston Nutter (67 kg), Alejandro Sancho (72 kg), Kamal Bey (77 kg), Beka Melelashvili (82 kg), Payton Jacobson (87 kg), Michial Foy (97 kg) and Cohlton Schultz (130 kg) - will enter the Greco-Roman tournament unseeded.
Seeds are determined based upon the aggregation of ranking points for the year, which are earned by placements at the previous year’s World Championships, plus continental championships and ranking series events.
A complete list of Greco-Roman entries for the Senior World Championships is available at uww.org. Entries are subject to change up to 72 hours prior to the official draw.
The Senior World Championships will be held September 13-21 at Arena Zagreb in Zagreb, Croatia. The Greco-Roman portion of the competition will close out the week on the last four days, Sept. 18-21.
