Grant takes fifth, U.S. fourth in Greco-Roman team rankings to conclude Veteran World Championships

Division A Greco-Roman wrestlers for Team USA at the 2025 Veteran World Championships in Tatabanya, Hungary.
TATABANYA, Hungary – Five U.S. athletes took the mats on the final day of wrestling at the 2025 Veteran World Championships. Heavyweight Mingo Grant finished in fifth place at 130 kg for the top American placement in Division A.
Mingo was the lone American to make the medal rounds on Sunday at Tatabanya Sport Hall. He posted a 2-2 overall record at heavyweight, dropping the bronze medal match to Serhat Saricicek of Türkiye, 4-0.
The U.S. compiled 5 medals, one gold, one silver and three bronzes, to finish with 190 team points and a respectable fourth place finish in the Greco-Roman combined division team ranking. The host nation of Hungary topped the charts with 314 team points. Kazakhstan outlasted Türkiye for second place by a single point, 203 to 202.
