The field for the 2025 USA Wrestling Kids Folkstyle Nationals has grown in size in comparison to last year, and the level of competition is also elevated in both the boys and girls tournaments. So far this year, athletes from 42 states have registered to compete.
The competition is set for the Allen County War Memorial in Fort Wayne, Ind., January 25-26, 2025. The nation’s best boys and girls youth wrestlers will wrestle in folkstyle, the traditional style of wrestling in the United States. Competition for boys will be in four age divisions (14U, 12U, 10U, 8U) and for girls in four age divisions (14U, 12U, 10U, 8U).
Registration remains open, and athletes are still encouraged to sign up.

This event is included in the USA Wrestling Triple Crown in all of the age groups. As of January 22, there are nine boys who have won previous Triple Crowns and three girls who are past Triple Crown winners registered to compete in Fort Wayne
There is a two-time Triple Crown winner registered this year, Korbin Kiessling of Maryland, who is scheduled to compete at 92 pounts in the 14U boys division. Kiessling first won the Triple Crown in 2022 in the 10U division at 56 pounds. He added a second Triple Crown in 2024 in the 12U division at 75 pounds.
Along with Kiessling are five other 2024 Triple Crown winners in the field, boys Darek Diaz of Illinois, Oscar Ormond of North Carolina and Iaromir Zhukovskii of Illinois, plus girls Avery Haber of Pennsylvania and Azyah Rice of California.
Both Diaz and Ormond are scheduled to compete in the 12U division at 58 pounds. Zhukovski will also wrestle in 12U, at 78 pounds. Rice will compete in the 14U division at 95 pounds, while Haber is wrestling 12U at 81 pounds.
There are four 2023 Triple Crown winners registered for this year’s Kids Folkstyle Nationals, boys John Reimer of Wisconsin, Ian Weber of Wisconsin and Jeremiah Hayes of Illinois, plus girls Abigail Peterson of Iowa. Reimer and Weber are wrestling 12U, with Reimer at 58 pounds and Weber at 67 pounds. Hayes will be at 14U in the 126 pound weight class. Peterson is wrestling in 14U at 85 pounds.
There are two other boys who were Triple Crown winners, Austin Armstrong of Idaho who won a Triple Crown in 2022 and Casen Becker of Colorado, who was a 2021 Triple Crown winner. Armstrong is scheduled to compete in 14U at 88 pounds, while Becker is in 14U at 92 pounds.
